A Testament to Excellence: UCT GSB’s EMBA Ranked Best in Africa and 11th Globally
At the Centre for Coaching, we are proud to celebrate the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB) being ranked the top Executive MBA (EMBA) programme in Africa and 11th in the world, according to the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Executive MBA Rankings 2024. This global recognition reflects the GSB’s consistent commitment to academic rigour, leadership development, and real-world impact – values that resonate deeply with our mission.
What sets the UCT GSB EMBA apart – alongside the Centre’s unique approach to coaching – is its commitment to developing leaders who think systemically, act mindfully, and lead with purpose. The QS rankings highlighted four key pillars in their evaluation: employer reputation, thought leadership, career outcomes, and diversity. The GSB’s strong performance across these metrics is a recognition of its outstanding faculty, dynamic curriculum, and the depth of experience participants bring to the programme.
For us at the Centre for Coaching, this ranking is not just a moment of institutional pride, it is a reminder of the transformative power of leadership development when paired with deep coaching. It reinforces the impact of our work both in South Africa and through our Swiss office, established in 2014 to support our growing European community.
As the only coaching body in South Africa affiliated with a business school and holding both local and international accreditation, we are honoured to contribute to the development of conscious, resilient, and impactful leaders within such a highly regarded academic ecosystem.
We congratulate our colleagues at the UCT GSB and look forward to continuing our shared journey of enabling transformative change – one leader at a time.
